SAMPLE SUBMISSION FORMAT - Advertisements
Section
For Sale ads, Want ads
This is a general submission format for the ADVERTISEMENTS
section. Each submission will be slightly different depending upon
the information being shared. The specific line items would
be whatever is most appropriate for the information in your submission,
but the format below should be used for all ad submissions.
REMINDER: The advertisement section is only available for use by
private homeschooling families on the HERO e-mail list.
- Descriptions of items should be very brief.
- Include asking price for items for sale.
- If you have multiple items for sale, list each item on a separate
line, single-spaced, with an asterisk and a space at the beginning
of each line (see example below).
- If there are multiple components to a curriculum item, do not
list each component on a separate line; instead list the item
with each component as one line item (see example below - Pluto's
Spelling)
- Do not use tabs.
- Do not put quote marks around book titles.
- Be sure to include your location for all ads
(city, major crossroads)
- Common title options for advertisements include:
- FOR SALE:
- WANTED:
- WANTED TO BUY:
- WANTED TO BORROW:
- FREE:
- If you have multiple items for sale, send them in one FOR SALE
ad. Please do not send each item as a separate ad.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is assumed that the buyer will
arrange to pick up the item as soon as possible. If
the seller is willing to mail the item, the buyer is expected to
cover the cost of mailing. Buyer and seller should work out
an arrangement acceptable to both of them. We encourage buyers
and sellers to communicate effectively with one another and to be
honest and upright in all of their dealings.
James and Nancy Manos do not endorse items listed for sale in the
HERO e-mail updates, nor do we offer any mediation between buyers
and sellers if there is a problem.
