Pennington Gardens Recital

If you (kids or adults) sing or play an instrument and want to bless the residents of Pennington Gardens Nursing Home, please contact Annie to let her know you are interested in participating in one or more of the following dates.   Skits are also acceptable and encouraged.

2008 RECITAL DATES:

SPRING RECITAL - Sunday, March 2, 2:00 PM
Deadline to RSVP:  Sunday, February 24

SUMMER RECITAL - Sunday, June 22, 2:00 PM
Deadline to RSVP:  Sunday, June 15

FALL RECITAL - Sunday, September 14, 2:00PM
Deadline to RSVP:  Sunday, September 7

WINTER RECITAL - Sunday, December 14, 2:00PM
Deadline to RSVP:  Sunday, December 7

TO SIGN UP - SEND AN E-MAIL TO ANNIE AND INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

1. Name of performer. Age is optional.
2. How many pieces you will be performing.
3. Names of each song/ pieces you will be singing or performing.
4. What kind of instrument you will be playing.
5. Do you want to perform your pieces all at once or do you want your pieces/ songs spread out through the whole recital?
6 . How long are each of your pieces? (rough estimate in minutes)

WHAT TO BRING: (if applicable)

Music Stand
Guitar Stand
Sheet Music or Music Book  (unless, you have your piece memorized)

Please consider bringing a small stuffed animal or several to bless the residents - They use them for prizes when they play games with the residents.

PENNINGTON GARDENS PROVIDES:

• Baby, baby grand electric piano
• Karaoke with Mike/CD/Tape Player
• Wonderful residents excited to hear and watch you perform for them.
• Juice and cookies (After the recital. I usually have all the children that participated serve the cookies and punch to the residents before they get their cookies and punch.)

DIRECTIONS TO PENNINGTON GARDENS:

ADDRESS:  977 S. Pennington Drive, Chandler
Take Dobson South to Pecos Rd.
Turn left (East) on Pecos Rd.
Turn left (North) on Pennington Drive
Building will be on your right.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR:

No flip flops, shorts, no belly showing shirts/blouses,no hats/caps (unless it came with your outfit, like school band uniforms) and please , if you can , tuck in your shirts ;-)

WHEN TO ARRIVE:

Please arrive 15 minutes early if you need to set up anything or just to practice a little on the piano. We will be there a half hour before recital begins.
