WHAT ARE LAP BOOKS?

Lap Books consist of file folders and creatively folded paper called foldables. Foldables are booklets students make to record anything they’re learning. They pop up, fold out, flip and turn. Use these fun, creative aids with any curriculum, subject, assignment, or extra curricular activity. When all the foldables are made, they’re put into a file folder which has been folded a new way. This becomes the completed Lap Book. You now have an excellent resource for documentation, presentation and review. Lap Books are great to use with preschool through high school students.

This inspiring and informative hands-on workshop will guide you through the steps of making your own sample Lap Book to take home. You’ll see how learning is transformed as many student-made Lap Books of all grade levels and subjects are demonstrated and available to look at.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Chris Paulsen, a past homeschool parent, is an Arizona native, raised in Glendale. She has presented Lap Book workshops since 1998 to home school parents and children, state home school conventions, principals, teachers, and churches throughout Arizona and other states. She is passionate about using Lap Books with students!
