Fit for Service

Fit for Service is a homeschool physical education co-op where parents participate in teaching. Fit for Service’s program is designed to provide a wide variety of Physical Education experiences for students 6 years old through high school. We also provide a “Tot Class” for 3-5 year old siblings of older students enrolled in FFS. 9+ yr olds run the mile at the end of each class.

FFS is run by a Christian Committee Team and is open exclusively to members of EVCHE (East Valley Christian Home Educators). Members of the co-op are expected to teach for 4 weeks (8 classes). Substituting or team teaching with others may be necessary in order for the co-op to run efficiently. Monthly “Mom’s Chat” time allows you to get to know other FFS parents or perhaps hear a special speaker. Parents walk the track, read, visit with new friends, or relax under a shade tree during months they are not teaching. Leaving park premises in not allowed.

WHEN:  Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00–3:25 PM, October through May.
(Breaks: We take about a month off for Christmas and a week off for Spring Break)

WHERE:  Freestone Park, Gilbert (Lindsay Road between Elliot and Guadalupe)

COST:   $80 per year per family includes EVCHE membership
