H.E.R.O. is an internet-based Christian homeschool network.   The purpose of H.E.R.O. is to connect Arizona parents teaching their own children themselves at home and to provide a place for them to share information with one another.

We send out e-mail newsletters once a week sharing information sent in by homeschoolers for homeschoolers.

  NOTE: You must be a homeschooling parent to sign up for the HERO newsletter. Those with young children who are planning to homeschool are also welcome to subscribe.

  This email list is not for virtual school families (which are doing public-school-at-home, not homeschooling).

Updates on Jessica Hulcy

Longtime homeschool mom, author of KONOS, and national speaker, Jessica Hulcy was involved in a very serious car accident Monday, May 18, 2009. Please pray for her recovery.

NEW HOMESCHOOL CLASSIFIEDS EMAIL LIST

Sheila and Craig Greenwood have decided to start an email list to provide a place for homeschooling families to buy and sell from one another since the HERO newsletter is no longer able to include advertisements. Please contact Sheila to sign up. She'll send you their guidelines for participation.

WWW.MYAZONLINE.COM OFFERS FREE CLASSIFIEDS

When we removed the advertisements section from the HERO newsletter, fellow Christian homeschooling parents Melanie and Lonnie Clardy graciously offered the opportunity for HERO subscribers to use the free classifieds section of their website www.myazonline.com   We appreciate their generosity and enthusiasm for serving the homeschool community.   Homeschoolers are welcome to submit classified ads on the Clardy's website. Please indicate that you are a HERO subscriber and be sure to include your contact information with your ads.

NOTE FROM NANCY: As always, the privacy of our subsribers is very important to us. We do not share our email list with anyone. If you wish to subscribe to the Greenwood's homeschool classifieds email list or utlize the Clardy's free classifieds, you will need to contact them directly to sign up. HERO subscribers will not automatically be signed up for either of these services.
